Finding green Olds valve cap felts

Anyone have a source for green valve cap felts to fit an Olds? Thebandroom.biz is completely unresponsive-- I already had to cancel an order-- and the Holton ones seem to be a little too thick.

My Recording's felts aren't terribly worn, but they are badly faded and I want it to look as original as possible-- which means GREEN. It seems like you can get the felts in red, blue, and black-- but not green.

I went to Ozwinds in Melbourne to get some new felts. They punched them on the spot to fit, any colour they had, and it was only AUD$6 for the 3 of them.

I know where I'll be going next time. Speak to Aaron... way cheaper than Ebay. Ozwinds Musical Instruments Maintenance And Repairing Services

What happens if you flip the felts over? Are they faded underneath, too?

FWIW - A seller on eBay has kits with felts for $23.95 with free shipping.

Perhaps a local tech might have some green felts.

Re: Finding green Olds valve cap felts

Good advice from all, but for those who still have issues and problems with finding felts particularly on old horns, I have another solution.
Remember 2 things, felt is usually wool based and sometimes manmade fibre so it can be washed and dyed. (in cold water)

Step 1, clean the felt. Felts usually dont become worn they most often simply become dirty oily and compressed. Remove the felt and using detergent, wash the felt between the fingers turning it over as you do it, but dont use excessive force, repeat this two or three times then dry between two layers of tissue.

Step 2, (if necessary) place the felt on a work surface and use the desired color of ink or fabric dye that will return the felt to looking as new, then wash well and dry.

The right action of course is to replace with new felt, but I have resurrected old felts on period instruments in this manner and they look and feel like new afterwards.

Believe it or not, the felts it has are faded on BOTH sides. Maybe one of the previous owners already flipped them!
