Getzen serial numbers

Does anyone know where one can look up Getzen serial numbers back to when these were first exported to the UK in the mid 1970's please?

Do you know if the letter(s) at the front of th eserial number have any particular significance?

The instrument I'm asking about has an 'SK' number and appears to have been made between 1980 and 1985. It's an 'Eterna' soprano cornet in Eb. Not a common or popular sop here in the UK but turns out to be remarkably nice player.
