Gonet et Cie Cornet

Hello all,

A guy at work brought in a beat up cornet in need of professional help. It belonged to his Grandfather.
On the bell the inscription read ...

Gonet et Cie
Paris
C & C
New York
Sole Importers

I could not find a serial number anywhere and the only other markings were the valve numbers.

Does anyone have any info on this brand?

Thank you,

David

Re: Gonet et Cie Cornet

Sorry Dave, I looked in horn-u-copia and vintagecornets but couldn't find a record of a French company by that name or any examples and hadn't seen it anywhere myself. I wonder who C & C were as importers? I also checked the instrument maker list of the National Music Museum with no luck.
