Good deal on a cornet?

I recently was reading the classifieds of the paper and say listed a cornet for 50 dollars and it read nice. I checked it out and eventually purchased it. It is a King 602 with a Blessing 7c mouthpiece. I have to say that it is very nice and plays excellent, it has scratches and lacquer coming off but still 50 dollars...what can you expect? Your thoughts?

Eclipsehornplayer is on a distinguished road
All that really matters is how you feel about it. I'd say you did just fine; maybe even better then fine.

I believe that was part of their student line. You can check it out at

Great website do the serial number lookup and you'll know how old it is.
