![]() | help with info on "windsor" horn Hi,this is ABCgirl's Dad, i just bought a horn from an antique shop and can find no info on it at all. Can you guys help me out? It has some engraving on bell with the words "Windsor, Elkhart Ind., U.S.A." The valves are "bottom sprung" (correct wordage?) It is shorter than "normal" with an extra "s" like bend in the end leading to the bell with a serial #R11097 It came with a short mouthpiece i would post some pics but i am computer challenged and cant figure out how, sorry....thanks for any help you can give me. Chris

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: help with info on "windsor" horn It sounds like you have a cornet with what is called "shepherd's crook bell." Windsor was making horns at least in the 1930's, more than that I don't know. Good luck!
