 | Holton Model 28 cornet I recently bought a Holton 28 cornet that is from the mid 50's. The mouthpiece receiver seems to be specially made for wider shank cornet mouthpieces. In addition, the receiver is 2.5 inches long, which is .5 inches longer than a standard 2 inch receiver. So, would the best thing be to take off the old receiver, and put on a standard 2 inch receiver? Has anybody ever done this to their cornet? |
