 | holton revelation Can any one tell me a little about these horns I just acquired one from ebay and i am waiting on it. picket it up for $200 the photos of it show it in good nick and have been advised that the valves work well and plays nice. I have been told that its a 1923 vintage with 78xxx serial number 0.462 bore, I am trying to find a web site site for old holtens does any one know of one. Cheers Chenzo |

| Re: holton revelation Interesting -- serial numbers seem a bit wacky in those early years, but according to the web site, yours may be as recent as around 1929, which is still OLD!!!

Also, check out the Holton Loyalist site at Holton Loyalist.com - Dedicated to the Frank Holton & Co.; Makers of High Grade Band Instruments Lots of info on Holton's and old ads. One featured Revelation models from the 50's. I don't know the exact years of their manufacture. In the trumpets link, you will find a photo and info on Model45 of the Revelation series, ser 15445. There is also a Revelation 48 , serial 93049 and submitted by member Krax. Several other models of the model series are listed. Hope this helps.
