Toobz has a spectacular aura aboutToobz has a spectacular aura about
Holton and Reynold trumpet questions

I came across 2 trumpets today, that I need some advice and info for.

The 1st, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy. It's a Reynolds Emperor. As I understand it, the Emperor is a step up, intermediate horn above the Medalist ? Is that correct ?

The 2nd, is a Holton Legionnaire . I don't know a whole lot about Holton's. I do know that they made a lot of Drum & Bugle horns labled Legionnaire, but I can't find any info on the trumpet.

Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Holton and Reynold trumpet questions

The Emperor was a step up horn, from the Roth and Medalist models. Lots of info on http://contemporacorner/emperor I used to have a cornet , about to be re-claimed. I did see one on ebay recently.

I don't know about a Holton Legionnaire trumpet. Nothing I can find on Holtonloyalist or Horn-u-copia. Maybe you should post on the Horn-u-copia "I have this horn" thread, or write Todd at the Holtonloyalist site in case he has heard of it. There is a site called allexperts.com that you can post queries on. Kenton from H is on it and another brass guy that's good, from Wis. I think. Has helped me out in the past.
