Holton Trumpet from Selmer New York?????

I found this trumpet on ebay. Its a Frank Holton and the serial number puts it around 1918-19. The bell Reads as follows, Frank Holton & Co Elkhorn Wis. and at the bottom of the bell "From Selmer New York". I have never heared of a Selmer model form 1919. Does anyone have or know any information on this trumpet? The horn looks pretty bad. I'm not sure if the leadpipe could be saved. What do you guys and gals think?

Re: Holton Trumpet from Selmer New York?????

Usually, some sellers mark the trumpets they're selling, so it could be sold at the Selmer Shop in NY

Re: Holton Trumpet from Selmer New York?????

Alexandre Selmer started his business in USA 1905, according to Henri Selmer Paris.

Apparently Selmer USA sold Holton trumpets for a while.

All this is before Selmer Paris started their own brass production (= acquired Millereau in 1931).
