 | identifying old King trumpets? Someone in my town has an old trumpet for sale. He says that it has "King" and "Cleveland" on the bell. How does a person distinguish the various King models, such as professional from student? Are the model names and numbers stamped or engraved somewhere on the trumpets? |

| Re: identifying old King trumpets? I have a King Cleveland trumpet that is 40 yrs. old, based on the serial number. It is really easy to blow, due to the medium bore. The valves are faster than my 7 yr old Silver Flair. The lacquer was really ugly, so I stripped it. Now it looks good and plays great. |
