    Selmer flugelhorn SN#1236: 390 euros, o bids, 1 day 15hrs, 4 watching!

No, not from 1935. The Serial number lists for Selmer trumpets are ONLY for trumpets - not for cornets, flugels or bugles.

I'm not sure of it, but I believe there may have been a separate serial number list for flugels. Design-wise it's definitely 1960s or 1970s, and the number doesn't fall into the serial number list for the cornets (which would mean it was from late 1950s, I believe).

Normally I would just drop Selmer an email and ask when it was made, but they are in the process of scanning their serial number records.

The ad says it's from the 60's and they even threw Chet's name in there to help sell it.

Bugle Flugelhorn from the 1960s to the time Chet Baker played a bugle Selmer
    Very hot sound

    Thanks for the correction.
Let us know when the SN lists are released.
