![]() | Interesting--found my 65 king silver flair This was a King SF I got in 65 and used for many years. I though I knew where it was and didn't. Apparently, I gave it to my nephew to use many years ago and he gave it to his son to use and his son put it in storage. It's interesting that the day I get an email from this website wishing me a happy birthday, was the day I discovered where the trumpet was located!! THANKS....:) Anyway, the trumpet is in great condition and has the following inscription: KING The H.N. White Co INC Cleve’d. O. 423174----(serial number) It has FLAIR inscribed on the mouthpiece receiver I don't intend to sell it, but anyone know approximate value for insurance purposes? |

![]() | Re: Interesting--found my 65 king silver flair I'm very jealous. I got my SF in 65 too. In 68 I traded it for a Bach C. Every once in a while I kick myself for that. An outstanding horn. Did you know the bell was spun not hammered?

![]() ![]() | Re: Interesting--found my 65 king silver flair That's an interesting point. With numerous threads currently raging about the merits (or not) of different bell materials, is there anything about spun bells vs hammered bells that would point to the idea that this makes a difference (and, to whom)?
