Re: Martin Committee on Shopgoodwill

Mine was just shipped today from New York Trumpet Company!!! I believe from the serial number it's around 1943-1944 Committee # 151***
All original, in raw brass...Felix offered to have it replated or relacquered etc. But I'll leave it as is.

Although would any of you know where I could buy a guard for the valve casing...I know that bach has some...but I need to find one that would fit on a Committee......I'm pretty sure my hands aren't acidic but I'm not going take any chances.

Re: Martin Committee on Shopgoodwill

Valve Guards from
Leather Specialties Co. are excellent.

I had one made for a Raw Brass Horn and I really like it.
Cuts down on the Brass smell considerably.

Re: Martin Committee on Shopgoodwill

I'm very interested in your TMA0234 Martin Indiana Trumpet that you have listed for $250.00. Do you take trade-ins? I have a 1970 Conn 6B Victor Trumpet N16442 in pretty good shape that I would be willing to sell for a very reasonable price for your TMA0234. I used to have a Martin Cornet years ago that I took to Europe with me in the 60s...had a blast with it doing gigs...I sold it in Germany.

I have played in the Wright-Patterson AB German Sourkraut Band from 1981 to 2004 and other gigs as well. Looking forward to hearing from you. I just performed at my 45-year high school reunion...

Sincerely,
