Nadel Besson answers

Thanks for all of your thoughts and assistance. So I have now determined that Grandpa's trumpet is a 1930 (ish) Brevette sold in New York. Their is no Besson name on it as their was a patent issue, and the first trumpets exported to NY have markings "Fabrication, Francaise, Perfectionee, Paris, France.

So interesting because I was always told that he got it in France, and now can confirm that he purchased it in the states! Which then tells me when he purchased it.

I have spoken with Robb Stewart about the repairs needed (bell mostly, it plays well now) and he also filled me in. Between him and Niles Eldredge - I have really gotten my arms around it! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and support - now back to my day job running an accounting practice!
