need valve guides for Vito trumpet

Hello everyone! I'm a first time poster and very glad to have discovered this site. I have an older model Vito trumpet (Kenosha Wisconsin, sn/22233) that is in generally good health, except the valve guide on the first valve is worn out. It will not allow the valve to stay aligned. It's made of green plastic, and the other two are black, which makes me think that at some point in the past, someone replaced only 2 and 3 instead of all of them. Does anyone know where I can get new guides for this horn? Any help sincerely appreciated.

Re: need valve guides for Vito trumpet

Welcome to the forum! I have not heard of a vintage Vito trumpet, just woodwinds. Vito was a model made by Leblanc, but I don't know if the current trumpet line is. Leblanc is now owned by Conn-Selmer and only advertises Clarinets. There is a Vito T502 student trumpet being sold now, but it's origin as far as country made is unknown.

Maybe you could post some closeups of the guides. Most any can be made up these days. Maybe some easily obtainable types might work, like from The Bandroom. You might compare one of yours to those sold there, or a music store tech might have something lying around.

It would be helpful to see some pictures of the horn. Chances are, it's a rebadged Holton, but we'd need to see it to be sure.
