New 1935 Vocabell I just added an eBay 1935 Vocabell to my list of horns. I am hoping for the best but I haven't touched it yet. eBay Vocabell Always good to meet like souls. Last edited by conn53victor : 03-03-2007 at 03:28 PM.

Re: New 1935 Vocabell Welcome 53 Victor! Enjoy the site. I happen to play a beadless rim horn also! -cw-

Re: New 1935 Vocabell Good deal. Is that "greenish" tint...raw brass, or bad photography? Mine's a 32, in raw brass. It was greenish-brown when it arrived and not being into "patina", I broke it down into all its various parts and gently cleaned, used Flitz, and buffed. It came out beautiful. I then put a light coat of one of the new acrylic car waxes on it to "hold" the shine and hold off the tarnish, a bit...and it works. LOVE the way it sounds. Its way older than me and in better shape, not a ding in it. I generally play it when alone in the house and when "in the mood" for classic horn.
