I have a M. J. Kalashen cornet serial #1201. Can anyone tell me it's appx. value? The horn is in good shape.

Recommend you go to Horn-u-copia scroll down to the Kalashen thread under Manufacturers. There is not much history other than Mark Kalashen was a dealer from 1895- 1930. The cornet thread has quite a lot of models, maybe some that look like yours. I would suspect they were imports, but a country of origin should be stamped on the horn, if so. I have seen opinion they were made by Blessing or Conn.

None on ebay at the moment and I have rarely seen any turn up on ebay.
I don't know of any way to affix a value on the cornet. It may be worth something or not much. Depends who wants to buy it and all the other factors of the horn. Ebay is the best way to find out.
