![]() | The old Bach's I have a 76 strad mint condition etc, and its very good and Ive been told that was back when a "Bach was a Bach" so to say. So what were the "hayday years" generalization. |

![]() | Re: The old Bach's If it plays it plays, no matter when it was made. There are certainly good ones and bad ones, but I don't buy the idea that you can tell by the year it was made. I've played new ones that are good and Mt. Vernons that were dogs! If you like your horn, that's what matters!

![]() | Re: The old Bach's Well, there's bound to be bad horns from every era, I played a beautiful-looking NY 7, that was a terrible player, I also played two Mt. Vernons, same deal. However, I've also played NY and Mt. Vernon and Elkhart horns that are fantastic. In fact, I just got my hands on a '73 ML 37, it needs some work, but could be a very nice horn.
