| old vibratone Does anyone know anything about these? I just found my grandfather's trumpet in my grandmother's attic. It had been missing for over twenty years after his passing. The family was thrilled. It is the prized hierloom. The story is his mother ironed clothes for shirly temple's mom, to earn the money to buy it, so my grandfather could play it in school band. (that would have been in the thirties) My mother, my aunt, and myself have all played it in school. The enscription on the bell says vibratone, made by Couesnon & Cie, Paris, (then a small design), made in france. No numbers i have found except an N with 93 circled at the mouthpiece. Can anyone help me or lead me in the right direction? I am very courious of it's history as it means so much to our family. Thanks, Al Lytle Last edited by allytle : 09-20-2006 at 02:00 AM.
