![]() | Olds Military Trumpet I have a Olds Military Trumpet (hand-hammered bell) that probably dates about 1929 (based off of the Olds Central website). I've found a couple of these for sale with prices between $1200 and $1800. The more expensive one has a serial number well past mine. Any thoughts on price? I'm actually thinking of selling it so I can buy a C trumpet. Thanks |

![]() ![]() | Re: Olds Military Trumpet I have a twin to yours. I have turned down an offer of $1,700.00 for it. Another rare and fine playing trumpet. For awhile, I played with the idea of having mine cosmetically refurbished, because the factory lacquer is almost all gone and it is tarnished. After discovering just how collectible the old girl is, I decided to leave it as is. My experience is that 'someone' will turn up that wants it at an even higher price. OLDLOU>>

![]() | Re: Olds Military Trumpet The factory lacquer on this one is really great. There are a few tarnish spots around the water key on the main slide, but otherwise a very fine looking instrument. It plays great. I just don't have the need to keep it. I have a 1965 Connstellation that I play nearly everything on. |

You already have one! Or two? or three?! Keep it til you're dead. When you need expensive medical treatment, Mendez here will take care of you. I'm serious. If you ever regret it (and you will), how much will it cost you to replace it? Tom | |

![]() | Re: Olds Military Trumpet Well, the issue is I have a 29 hammered bell trumpet, not military....I have a 1932 military cornet, not hammered...So you see my problem.....
