Olds trumpet info request Hi Everyone, I hate to join just to get info, but I admit that's what I've done today. An older friend of mine dropped off an Olds Trumpet that he needs to sell and I promised to help him. The serial# is 525 and it has the burnished gold? finish. Tomorrow he brings a case and some mothpieces. I found the rouses.net site and I'm guessing if I just put it up on Ebay with much better pictures than these Any comments are very welcome and again apologies for being a drop in member. I was just waisting too much time trying to research this. Thank You and here's 2 very quick images -

Re: Olds trumpet info request It looks like a Military Model but I'm no expert. Does it look like this? http://www.paulayickvintagebrass.com/

Re: Olds trumpet info request More than likely this is the Olds model 1930 with a hammered bell option, NOT a military model. (unless it has an eagle on the bell with "The Olds") Last edited by A.N.A. Mendez : 06-18-2007 at 12:31 AM.

Re: Olds trumpet info request Thanks for the replies. It does not have an eagle with "Olds" - it's a simple "scroll" with "Olds" engraving. It also doesn't seem to have the same taper and flare as that military model, but that's a hard call from that perspective. I'll try I'll post a closeup. Ed
