![]() | Parts for 19th century New York Wonders I'm looking at an 1898 NYW cornet. What kind of expense should I expect in order to replace a missing "wishbone" water key and spring? I have an old stencil horn that I wouldn't mind scavenging in order to fix one of these fine horns, but the stencil has a "leaf spring" type wishbone so I wouldn't expect it to fit.

![]() ![]() | Re: Parts for 19th century New York Wonders Well, it looks like this is a "stumper" question. I imagine you would need to find a very creative tech who can either make a new one by hand or modify the "leaf spring" model to fit. Either one will be time consuming and will likely cost a bit unless you find somebody who will do it inexpensively just because he likes a challenge. Good luck.
