![]() | Question about an Older Conn Does anyone know what level the 1960's Conn Connstellatoins were? Were they a student, intermediate or professional horn? I have an intermediate horn, but I really need to upgrade and I don't know if the conn is a good choice or not. |

![]() | Re: Question about an Older Conn Thanks, I'll definitely look into this horn further now. Do you happen to know anything about bore size? |

![]() | Re: Question about an Older Conn Besides the #1 bore 38B, there was also a 28B Connstellation with the #1 1/2 bore (.458), which is equivalent to today's ML. But it was only made in the 40s and 50s. I have a 22B with the same #1 bore as the Connstellation and it doesn't feel "tight" to me. Rumor has it that UMI-era Conn dared to put the Connstellation name on an intermediate, but I don't know anything about it. Just make sure the model is 38B or 28B and you'll be OK.
