![]() | Reynolds Trumpet Contempora Hi Trumpet world I have just purchased a Reynolds contempora LB cornet and love it. it is the most intune cornet I have played I am about to buy LB Contempora trumpet is there anyone who has played this model trumpet I would be interest to hear from you the cornet is so free blowing in the top register I hope the trumpet is the same Thanks Rod |

![]() | Re: Reynolds Trumpet Contempora The Contempora's are fine horns but my favorite of vintage trumpets is the 1940s and earlier standard Reynolds line of trumpets. These are excellent pro level horns and one of the last great values around, you can sometimes get a great deal on them compared to many of the other vintage trumpets "de jour." I have a 1946 lacquer B model and I've had a couple of others including a sterling bell model and US military issue. Wonderful players! These older Reynolds are outstanding trumpets and I personally think they are better than any other make of sought after vintage horns including all the Olds among others.
