My 1971 Reynolds Emperor cornet has a .468 bore
and I have trouble getting above High E on it.

Wanna trade?

Dean

I assume you have visited Contempora Corner? I love that cornet on the Home Page. Welcome to Contempora Corner!

I haven't had the opportunity to play either. Way out of my price range

Re: Reynolds Trumpet Contempora

I had a Reynold's Medalist trumpet for awhile. Good player, almost identical to the Olds Ambassador (built in the same factory in 73).Let us know about the trumpet when you get it.

Re: Reynolds Trumpet Contempora

The Contempora's are fine horns but my favorite of vintage trumpets is the 1940s and earlier standard Reynolds line of trumpets. These are excellent pro level horns and one of the last great values around, you can sometimes get a great deal on them compared to many of the other vintage trumpets "de jour." I have a 1946 lacquer B model and I've had a couple of others including a sterling bell model and US military issue. Wonderful players! These older Reynolds are outstanding trumpets and I personally think they are better than any other make of sought after vintage horns including all the Olds among others.

Check them out here:

Welcome to Contempora Corner!
