| Selmer Paris -- K-Modified vs. pre-K-Modifieds I've got a couple of K-Modifieds from 1957 and 1954 with the #20 bore and the #24B bore. These are early enough that they don't have the trigger and they're both in excellent condition. My plan is to enlist some help in comparing these in some depth with others listening to me and me listening to others play them so I can decide which I will keep. (The blows are obviously different, but I'm having a hard time determining the difference in projection without third-party help). I've been told that the K-Mods are not as good as the pre-Ks. Does anyone here own both and have an opinion in that regard. I'm particularly interested in opinions about the early Ks to the late pre-Ks. Thanks, Dave |
