![]() | Selmer Radial Hi Folks, My apologies if there's been prior discussion about this model horn. E-bay is auctioning a 1975 circa Selmer Paris C75 Radial C trumpet. In my research so far, the Radials are considered to be top notch, and a rare find. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Larry |

The C model is less common so probably worth a bit more, but that may depend on demand which I am unable to gauge. The valves on the radials are fantastic if not deteriorated, as good as any I've tried. They tend to be fairly free blowing, but there were several configurations with different leadpipes and so I would assume there is some variation in the blow. The horn on Ebay is nicely restored, and looks really good. How that affects its value I don't know, but IMHO it is not worth the BIN price of $1500. Maybe $850-$900. If it plays as good (bad grammar, sorry) as it looks then it would be worth that. veery |

![]() | Re: Selmer Radial I own two - a ML Bb and an XL C. Both are great horns, especially the C. It'sd the best C I've ever played. Wonderful sound, and the best valves ever. That said -I agree that the e-bay horn is great looking, but I don't know that I would pay that price. I got my Bb for $825 and the C for a bit less, although I had a bit of work done to the C to bring the price up to around 1K Michael

![]() | Re: Selmer Radial That C75 Radial is mine. I looked high and low for one, then found it overseas and had it restored by a top notch guy. It's a great horn but Santa brought me a Bach Chicago C and i can't justify both. The valves are great, and Anderson did the silverplate on it. No dents or dings ever to it. My Bb Radial is the finest horn I've ever played, and this C is a gret one as well. If it doesn't sell, I guess I'll spend more time practicing on C to justify owning two. |
