Re: Sessionaire?

But the Sessionair is also a really nice trumpet.

It was B&H:s top trumpet when it was made. I have one. If I could buy another one I would. (if you have one near you and do not want it for yourself, pm me). They are not sought after, mainly because they did not sell well and therefor still are pretty unknown. They were made for jazz, but frankly, who wants to bring a B&H to the big band? It ain't marching.

They were made in at least two models, regular bore (ML? L?) and Large bore. Mine is Large bore and it feels large too, it is very open to play, feels like it can swallow very much air. Therefor I would not recommend it for a beginner as it would be too easy to get the bad habit of using too much pressure on the lips.

Bright sound, light weight and it is really really cool to look at. Mine is pictured somewhere in the Vintage Horn Eye Candy thread.

Oh, and the valves are amazing! Truly amazing. But also very sensitive. They will stuck if not pressed straight down.
