screamingmorris has a spectacular aura about
small-bore cornet?

I already have a huge-bore cornet for low ballads.

I would like to try (not buy) a vintage small-bore silver-plated professional-level cornet, much smaller than a .460 bore, just to see how it sounds and feels with my Weril W46 mouthpiece, to try a *real* "scream cornet".

Any suggestions of brand name and model name and bore size I could look for?

Yes, any Buescher, serial number lower than 300,000.

Should I look for a model name?
What would the bore size be?

Re: small-bore cornet?

Most of them will be fine. The exact bore size will vary by model, but you can go nuts trying to measure anything. I play a "The 400" model, and its bore size is exactly the same as my trumpet, also "The 400", at 0.455. However, the earlier horns are smaller.
