Super Olds

Hello, I am a new member. Joined to find information about Super Olds trumpet by F. E. Olds, serial number 9064. Vintage 1930's. Played by former first chair horn in Count Basie. I am trying to find the player. So far, this is my list of possibles: Harry "Sweets" Edison, Reunald Jones, Buck Clayton.

It was traded into Holton for one of their horns. I purchased from Holton in mid 50's.

Re: Super Olds

I'm hoping Wilmer chimes in, I believe reunald Jones used a Holten at one time, and I know he played with Basie.Maybe start a new thread using Reunald Jones in the heading or PM Wilmer, I bet he knows...
