On the topic of Conn New Era trumpets

While we are/were discussing Conn's New Era trumpets.... in Conn's catalogs and brochures from the late 1920's and early 1930's, Conn suggests, but doesn't actually say, that they made the first trumpet in the New Era styling: long and thin.

However, as we all know, what an instrument maker says in its advertising is usually to be taken with a grain of salt. So does anyone know if Conn in fact was the first to come out with a trumpet styled that way? And if not, who did and what was it called?

Regards, Christine
