 | Very unusual trumpet for sale.. This company from Japan, Nikkan, was bought by Yamaha. Just wondered if that might make it valuable in any way? Anybody know anything about these horns? Silverplate Nikkan Trumpet: $149.00 Reminds me of an interesting story Many, many years ago (when I was about 16 years of age), I attended a Claude Gordon Trumpet Camp in Yosemite, CA. . A couple of guys made it there all the way from Japan, and both paid CASH for brand new Claude Gordon Benge Trumpets while there! I remember how excited we all were for them as they started blowing those new horns in our crowded bunk cabin with about 12 other guys standing around watching. Quite the trip for these young guys. Parents must have had some cash. ;)
