Vintage 1900 Besson trumpet prototype - what's it worth?

Hi, I thought this might be a good place to find out about this Besson trumpet prototype I got from my Grandfather. I checked the serial number and according to my research it was made between 1890 and 1900. I was told he payed a whopping $900 for it in 1920.

I don't know anything about trumpets and I was hoping to find out what it is worth and possibly sell it. It is in good condition and was overhauled in 1987.
I have several different mouthpieces, mutes and accessories.

You can see pictures attached in my response post below...

Pictures aren't much good when you need a username/password to access them!

Check on Ebay and see what "completed auctions" have been closing at for that model.

Thanks for your help!
Are you sure he paid a whopping $900 for it?

In 1920?

I spoke with a close friend who in 1937 bought a Selmer from France, the same model Harry James was using. He said really saved his pennies to buy it.

It cost $175 brand new.

Oops! I attached a few photos - hope they work

I did check ebay. Not too many vintage Bessons being sold there.
