at least a buescher costs a lot less.

Which model Constellation did Maynard Play? I think Miles also might have also played a Constellation.

Re: which vintage conn you prefer?

I have a Conn 48B Vocabell made in 1938 and I love it. It is well balanced in all registers and I actually feel more secure playing this than my Bach 43 Sterling bell. I also have a Constellation Cornet and Trumpet which I like, but are not great all around horns.

Who said that Ursa and I were in 'THE UPPER'? The last time I checked, Ursa was in the Manistee area and I am in Grand Rapids. According to my Official MIchigan State Highway Dept. map, both of these cities are in the lower penninisula. Those who claim to be "YOOPERS" call us trolls, because we live below the bridge.

Sorry, thought you guys were up near Manistique, MI. I misread your message. I used to get up around Escanaba a good bit and there was a small jazz group I used to play with in Manistique in the 80s. The guys all had vintage horns but I have not heard from them in several years.

How about your 16B Coprion Bell?
It seems many people are looking for those "Coprion Bell series" of vintage conn

Re: which vintage conn you prefer?

The Conn 40B with full engraving, satin silver, and gold wash bell is my favorite. It plays great and nothing else looks quite like it!
