casing...Also on the casing a oval with F. Besson
Brevette and a star in the center.

Hi, go to the Horn-u-copia web site to the Besson thread and you will find some info an pictures of various models. I commented on a horn like this not too long ago, either on this forum or Trumpet Herald. The older early 20th century ones and before had the address on them. There may be some on ebay vintage brass section now. Most of them say 51 medals of honoure. I have a 55 Besson trumpet with that on it and used to have a 60's cornet similarly etched.
