![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY I do have one Ambassador that I like, a little Eb/D trumpet. I sold both the L.A. Ambassadors I used to own (cornet and trumpet), though. Great student horns, but not good enough for gigs with "payin' customers" as they say. ![]()

ha ha ha , great thanks , my sons started playing a ambassador from school 5th grade , the next month i got a really nice getzen 300 s on ebay , a few months later i found the getzen power bore , and that became his favorite horn . fast forward this christmas Daniel is in 6th grade first chair on his cornet the power bore, i get the 580s for his christmas , then i spot the copra temp , i give him that on new years day , omg i find the tone balanced getzen ,so now we have a small herd . to be honest i enjoy buying these , know any one with a nice super olds ? i have seen more quality horns on e-bay and the prices seem to be down as well , but one has to be very careful , i have got a bad deal a couple times , but i got rembursed by e-bay-paypal , i guess a person has to ask the questions and read very well ,understand what is not being said , and how fat your wallet is.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY My instrument tech, Mr Brian North, is a member of the "National Association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians", he trained in the US, and incidentally is also a plumber by trade. He does beautiful work on anything from Cornets through to Double Bb Tubas - I certainly would NOT take a shot at him about putting things together like a plumber - as a tradesman too I see the quality of his work and the dedication of his work ethic, I am blown away and take my hat off to this "poor plumber".

![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY Well, I wasn't knocking plumbers. I was saying the Getzen looked like it was built from plumbing fittings.
