Thanks, MrA2You.

Yep, it's actually one of several "long cornets" out there. Even though it doesn't have the traditional cornet shape to it, it still has the (progressive) conical bore of a cornet, along with the mellower sound of a cornet. And yes, it does take a cornet mouthpiece as well.

Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

Hello,
I'm Aron from Hungary. I would like to ask you that I have a Bach Mt Vernon model 72 B-trumpet(1964). Is it rare? Becouse I have never seen in the ebay.
Thanks,
Aron

Name the three big differences
1. Receiver takes cornet piece
2. reads "Cornet" on engraving

3.?

Anybody?

Question out of curiosity:

Is it only the Recording that have off-set 2. valve?
Not easy to see on this picture...

Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

By the way, A.N.A., is your Mendez cornet silver-plated? If so, was that a factory option, or did you have it done??

In any case, that's a mighty pretty pair of Mendez's that you have.
