Pictures would be great!! your "Tonk Sterling Trumpet model Bohemia, tunable in A, Bb-flat and C also" sounds like something I would want.

![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY Some years ago my father wrote down his personal history for his children. In it he describes his family as being very musical with his older brother playing Organ, Piano and the Tuba, himself on flutes and piccolo and his sister the Peckhorn. I always wanted to know what a Peckhorn was - now I know. Thanks.

![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY Hi, I tried to insert some images of my horns but unfortunately I do not really know how to do this. I do not have any webspace to put them on, so anyone who would like some images please let me know and where to send them. I also have here a trumpet from the Netherlands. I always forget how the name of the firm is spelled: Scherkelaars? There was an engraving on the bell, but it has vanished. Seems to be a copy of the old Conn Connstellation model, but by far it does not reach the playing quality of the Conn. Greetings from Germany Hendrik |

![]() | Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY My 1957 Conn Director 14A may not be eye candy to everybody, but it is ear candy and it feels like some kind of weapon in my hands. Great balance! A weapon of peace and beauty! It reminds of the time I had an underage drink with Bobby Hackett. He died a few months before my 18th birthday, so it was the only kind of drink I could have had with him. I just got it and am planning on having it professionally fixed up. ![]() |
