Re: ChopSaver

I hate chapstick and the like. Maybe just because I rarely get chapped lips or other issues. But in winter they do dry a bit and get a little irritated. Well the wife had been using this stuff for a while and just gave me one from t he kids at Christmas so I had it sitting around. Well we had a particularly cold blast and thought I have band tonight and having to go in and out all day at work I thought I finally give in and try.

This stuff is good. I have can go on and off this stuff based on the weather and my lips don't crave the stuff leaving me feel dried out. One of the reasons I never like the other stuff.

No double C
No extra half octave
But this is the only lip care product I use (OK OK every 4 or 5 year when I get a cold sore I use something else but does that really count?)

Re: ChopSaver

Chopsaver is great I have been using it off and on since before it was on the market. A friend of mine who has worked with Dan Gosling gave it to me and I have been using it ever since. I don't use it regularly, but if I feel chapping coming on or have played long and hard I will. All I can say is it works.

Re: ChopSaver

I just finished doing a double concert doing Petrushka and it certainly helped to keep me fresh before I had to do the two concerts.

Re: ChopSaver

i just ordered some and got it in three days! great service from dan! and his prduct works, as im going into my first year of marching season, and things will be tough (learning to march, cold weather on the field, cold breezes in the stands). but now that i have my chopsaver, i can safely say i will have no trouble with my lips this season. thanks dan for the great product!
p.s. try the chopsaver gold, realy nice, especially in the 90 degree summer!

Re: ChopSaver

Another Chopstick testimonial:

I severely burned my third finger. It had a huge blister on it. I started applying Chopstick on it and in less than a week it was nearly completely healed! Also my lips are extremely prone to chapping so I use it after every time I play. AND it has never gummed up my valves like Chapstick does.

Re: ChopSaver

I'm not a professional or anything, but each year I go to the local music shop and buy four or five tubes of chopsaver for winter playing. Illinois gets particularly dry winters and the difference of me playing with chopsaver versus me playing without is huge while the weather is bad. Plus, it doesn't smell like strawberries or blueberries or watermelon or "cucumber extract," but more or less neutral (and clear), so it's safe for us guys to wear without scaring away the ladies.
