Wow! Wish I could be there. It's a pretty good drive from Nashville.

Thanks O' Wise One.
Best wishes to Mr.Wilder ! I sincerely honor is contributions to this thing we love and cal JAZZ !

With that line up and a small contribution of $20.00 > ,I'll have to seriously consider travelling to NYC to be there for that Sunday,Oct 11 Church burner.

St.Peter's Lutheran Church was where The Rev.John (Juan Garcia) Gensel opened the doors for the Boppers during the early/mid '60s.
I do hope Pastor Kaji Spellman speak of The Rev.Gensel in hushed tones.

Always happy to read that "BOP" is back in Church and wish men/women of the cloth would follow the examples set forth by Rev.Gensel and the Jazz Priest - Rev.Norman J. O'Connor
whose remarks of the early 1960's still echoes in my head when he said and I'm paraphrasing: Jazz has no morality - if a listener thinks jazz is immoral,it's because he brings to it remembered associations, such as pretty girls dressed in slinky gowns;whore houses;and speakeasies.

Long Live Bop and the Boppers !
