![]() ![]() ![]() | Burt Joe Shepley called me a few minutes ago to let me know that Burt Collins had passed away yesterday. Burt was one of the sweetest people to grace the planet. He was a super player. In his day he was one of the busiest studio players in NYC. Here is more about my friend. http://www.answers.com/topic/burt-collins?initiator=1 Wilmer |

| Re: Burt WOW! We are loosing many legends and for me, BURT COLLINS was a legend. It's too bad his name didn't grace these trumpet sites more often so to let him know he was an insparation to more than his close friends and peers. But a Trumpet Nation!.... PEACE BE WITH YOU! |

| Re: Burt Collins I am very Sad to see the news about Burt Collins. . . (all-be-it late) my very first Play-a-Long Vinyl disc was one called Little Jazz Duets featuring Burt Collins playing both traks (Music Minus One) back in 1974-5? He was definitely a Player with a Big Focused sound! Nice guy too from what I've heard other players say about him. |
