That's weird, I had no problem getting to the article.

Re: This caught my eye

Me too Wilmer. They need to know who is coming to their site. We do it at The Arizona Republic also... but we wait until you start moving while in the site. First hit okay, second hit we need to know who you are. It's all about the mighty dollar. The business wants to be able to say to their advertisers what demographics is looking at their site.

Re: This caught my eye

I just needed to register with the Mercury News. It only took a couple of minutes and I went right to the article on Ray Vega. Thanks again Mr. Wise.

Wilmer,
Thanks so much for posting this!!!
I almost had a heart attack------the writer stated that I was a Brooklynite....Those that know me, know that I love My BRONX!!
also...I'm not full time at the college.....yet.
My youngest son Tommy is not 11...he's 7.

hey, it's all good.....hopefully some folks will come out to support the sounds next week.

Pardon the interruption, and in defense of the author, the record clearly states that one Ray Vega attended L.I. University in Brooklyn and if memory serves correctly,LIU is located on Flatbush Avenue and directly across from Junior's Cheese Cake Bakery and a stones throw from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) where the WISE ONE made his home during the early 70's.

Should you choose to dis-own Brooklyn as your adopted home let me know and I'll contact a man (Marty Markowitz) I personally know who is running the Borough to restrict your future entry into Kings County.
By the way the error on your son's age was a crap shoot/lucky toss,you know,7/11 or 11/7 = Money,Money,Money

Que Viva La Salsa (Long Live Salsa) !

Re: This caught my eye

Or better yet..... we give the Bronx Marty and future trade rights in a swap for Ray.

I can live with this trade providing Ray is prepared to settle around the Grand Army Plaza area and be prepared to appear at the Prospect Park Bandstand within 3 minutes of a telephone call.
His failure to respond within 3 minutes would leave 'us' no choice but to have him return across the Willis Avenue Bridge into the South Bronx/Fort Apache.

Wilmer,I reecently found out that our man Larry Willis is the Music Director at
Mapleshade in Baltimore,Md.
Larry,as I recall was the cat who replaced Harold Maybern in Lee's band.
