| Coming to Pittsburgh,Pa A WISE MAN once wrote that NYC is a great place to hang. Althought I take no exception with his remarks,I now ask: What about the 'BURGH ? After Bill Strickland build the Guild, the Ashby brothers (Jay & Marty) set forth on a crusade that now surpasses the great contributions made by Norman Grantz and George Wein. In addition, both Jay (trombone) & Marty (guitar) are excellent musicians. Contrary to all that talk around the HUDSON;THREE RIVERS plays second fiddle to no one. The best is yet to come. | Pianissimo User | Re: Coming to Pittsburgh,Pa This is great!!! The manchester craftmans guild is a favorite of mine. I try to hit as many programs as I can. They really do an incredible job of bringing first rate jazz to the Burgh'. And they provide the performer with a great venue and fantastic crowd to blow too. |
