David Letterman trumpeter

I was looking today the above show...and there was a moment when the camerman showed the trumpeter. Anybody has an idea who he is (the trumpeter)? It is really weird the way he hold his trumpet...

I am not sayaing that the the wild thing is weird...just the way Allan was holding it - don't get me wong, he is a terrific player.

He just uses his left hand as a guide more so than for pressure.
