That was a great clip of Doc thank you my old teacher. Doc is not given enough credit for being a great jazz player. Just ook at that tonight show trumpert section Doc Conte and Snooky. Rehearsals must have been fun

The "Tonight Show" used to have, when Doc was still a sideman, a theme that featured the trumpet. I wonder if there is a recording available of it?
It was a very pretty ballad kind of thing.
