The Greatest?

Jackie Gleason? Muhammad Ali? The trumpet player from the Midwest? That fellow from France, or that guy from the Bayou who lives in the Big Apple.
Why do we have to use a yardstick to appreciate our art?
Variety, truly is the spice of life. The best is yet to come.
Wilmer

Re: The Greatest?

I agree, Wilmer, greatness is hard to measure. Lots of guys are the greatest in their own way.

The guy in this video is my hero, I want to go out like this!

Re: The Greatest?

One of the best lessons I ever got was from a conversation with Ray Crisara. I asked him if a certain player really was the best. His reply was simply: "What flavor of ice cream do YOU like?"

Re: The Greatest?

That is a fantastic clip! Thanks Dylan.
Wilmer is certainly correct. Why try to qualify or quantify art?
