This came by e-mail today-

Hello from Yamaha!

Plenty of space remains for this event-filled day featuring Yamaha trumpets and International Trumpet Soloist Håkan Hardenberger. Here you can find the full range of Yamaha instruments including a complete selection of Yamaha Artist Model Trumpets.

All events are free and open to the public, but seating is limited to the first 100 people. R.S.V.P. today by sending an e-mail to: trumpet@yamaha.com

International Soloist Håkan Hardenberger
Håkan Hardenberger was born in Malmö, Sweden in 1961. He began studying the trumpet at the age of eight with Bo Nilsson in Malmö and continued his studies both at the Paris Conservatoire, with Pierre Thibaud, and in Los Angeles with Thomas Stevens. His virtuosity was quickly recognized and today he is regarded as one of the most charismatic musicians of his generation.

Håkan Hardenberger performs with the world’s leading orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra Washington, London Philharmonic, The Philharmonia, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchester des Bayerische Rundfunk, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Helsinki Philharmonic, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and NHK Symphony Orchestra. Conductors he regularly collaborates with include Alan Gilbert, Daniel Harding, Neeme Järvi, Ingo Metzmacher, Esa-Pekka Salonen and John Storgårds. He is a frequent guest at the major festivals of Lucerne, Salzburg and the BBC Proms, and has given recitals in the Konzerthaus Vienna, Barbican Centre, Wigmore Hall, Tonhalle Zürich and Musikhalle Hamburg.

Alongside performances of the trumpet classics, new compositions are central to Håkan Hardenberger’s musical mission; he has pioneered works by many of today’s composers including Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Hans Werner Henze, Rolf Martinsson and Arvo Pärt. HK Gruber’s trumpet concerto Aerial, commissioned by and premiered at the BBC Proms in July 1999, will receive its 40th performance by Hardenberger and the Chicago Symphony under David Zinman in Spring 2006.

AndrewTomlinson is an unknown quantity at this point
Did anyone here go to Hakan's Masterclass? Perhaps a few of you could say what comments he made that helped you the most with your own playing.

Thanks in advance.
