That's a great rendetion of Mr.Paul Chambers.
Steve "Stuff" Gadd damn sure put together a wonderful working band
The cats on brass were awesome.

I'm sure by that 1988 performance,Steve had owned the Bottom Line Cabaret.
After my Army days in the early '70s,Steve and Betty Carter were weekly fixtures at the Bottom Line.
Back then Steve's band (Stuff) included my fellow Brooklyners Richard Tee and Eric Gale (both now deceased) and I'm happy to see another Brooklyner
(Ronnie Cuber) in that 1988 lineup.
Cornell reminds me of the concluding line of the Timex commercial....he keeps on ticking.

As I write,Tony Mowod of WDUQ (90.5) is playing "When I Fall In Love" by Chris Botti.
As James Moody said:" I'm in the mood for Love."

Music is indeed the food of love!

Re: Lew Soloff, Steve Gadd and the Guys

George Young is my buddy Lou Opalesky's cousin. George was a member of "Stuff" along with Gordon Edwards, the bassist. Steve was Willis "Gatortail" Jackson's drummer when I met him in Atlantic City in the early sixties. Steve was attending the Eastman School of Music. He was really young. Six Degrees of Separation!
