Maurice Brown

Watch this kid!
He has chops to burn and a sound to match. I was impressed with his overall command of the horn. The young guys seem to be leaning toward the RH Factor.
I want to hear him with some of the older guys.......I've got valve oil older than these kids.
Since it was the Charlie Parker Festival, Maurice played a tune based on the changes to Conformation.
He will never make it as a rapper though, I could understand most of what he was saying
The kid is a keeper.....now.... if we could get him to stand still

johnmarkpainter will become famous soon enough
Re: Maurice Brown

The only record I have heard of his the band feels pretty stiff...like they are using a click track or something.

There is another record called "Finding Space" Rick Parker Collective that he is on that I like better (the Rhythm section).

Nice to find new stuff that isn't 'made for the weather channel' :)
