| Re: Mingus I've always made my kiddies play a lot of Mingus, Peggy's Blue Skylight, Haitian Fight Song, Canon, Self Portrait in Three Colors. This year we've added Remember Rockefeller at Attica, a rollicking 51 measure tune from Changes One. That, Chinoiserie by Ellington, a bossa version of Giant Steps and Oscar Pettiford's Tricotism have been in heavy rotation this year. Michael McLaughlin Roaming through the jungle of "oohs" and "ahs," searching for a more agreeable noise, I live a life of primitivity with the mind of a child and an unquenchable thirst for sharps and flats.
