![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Miracle on 48th Street Josh transformed a middle-aged trumpet into the the horn of my dreams. He did a flush/ valve alignment/ polish to my LB Bach 72* horn and it's gorgeous and it plays even better than it did before! The first valve saddle has been replaced with a ring. YES! I am thrilled with my horn. IT'S BEAUTIFUL! My name is Wilmer and I am a Bachoholic. Thank you Josh. Wilmer

![]() | Re: Miracle on 48th Street I was at Josh's shop right before the ITG......he had an old LT Bach 72* that he'd just restored. I saw this horn before and after. Before was a horn that was good for scrap...it was not playable. After was a horn that perfect in every way. Josh did a PVA, replaced the old 25-O leadpipe with a Landress copper leadpipe. Some of the braces were moved slighly. The pitch, response, and sound were absolutely dead-on. Josh---I hope that you didn't sell it! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Miracle on 48th Street I must confess that I had never had a PVA so I really didn't know quite what to expect. I'm one of those nuts that toss out the felts when they get wet , a very expensive quirk in the long run. My reasons being that I thought the valves would line up better with dry felts than with wet ones. Josh has lined up my valves better than they were almost forty years ago. The horn speaks quicker. The valves move very smoothly. My slides, which I am using less often, are like butta Wilmer

(BYOBB) joint. Make sure your business closing hour is conspicuously posted/displayed as guys with mind set's like Zoot Sims and Sonny Stitt would take that "damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" attitude and keep you open until sunrise. Those were the days when sleep was highly overrated. Wilmer,on your next visit to Josh's place, take him on a foot tour of the area and show him where The Brass Rail;Charley's;and Hawaiian Kai were located and if the Hi-Ho Chinese Restaurant remains open on 49th Street (closer to 6th Avenue) of the Time & Life Building, have lunch with young Josh and send me the bill - in Memory of the good old days.
